Many people on the Emerald Coast use Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast, HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital, or physician groups in Fort Walton Beach. Destin and South Walton: Your Address Matters
The City of Destin is entirely within Okaloosa County. Miramar Beach, Sandestin, Santa Rosa Beach, and other South Walton communities are in Walton County. Medicare Advantage and Part D availability follows the beneficiary's residential address and county, including the ZIP Medicare uses for your home.
If you live in South Walton but spend time in Destin, the Okaloosa County plan list does not apply to a Walton County residence. Compare plans for your home county on Plan Finder. Do not use an Okaloosa roster when your Medicare address is in Walton County.
