About SwitchBlue Insurance Agency
It started with my dad at the kitchen table, staring at a stack of Medicare mail he couldn't decode.
An independent health insurance agency specializing in Medicare.
I'm Max Zlobin, founder and licensed Medicare advisor. We built SwitchBlue so families in FL, AL, GA & NC could get clear, independent guidance from someone who works for you, not an insurance company.

Our story
Medicare guidance should feel human, not overwhelming
When my dad turned 65 a few years back, I watched him at his kitchen table with a stack of mail he didn't understand, trying to figure out which envelope actually mattered. He called me confused more than once. He's a smart guy. This isn't about intelligence. It's about an industry that buries people in paperwork and jargon.
I'd spent over 10 years in financial services by then, helping people plan for retirement. From the other side of the desk, the same problem kept showing up: advisors were often limited to the carriers their firm had relationships with, whether or not those plans fit the client. Watching that play out at home made the mission clear. People don't need another salesperson. They need an agency that will sit with them and figure out what they actually need.
We kept seeing something specific to this region: retirees moving to the Gulf Coast from Georgia, Alabama, and North Carolina, suddenly dealing with a new state, new doctors, and a plan roster they'd never seen before. Too often the story was the same. Someone calls a number off a mailer, a call center enrolls them, and that's it. Nobody calls back. Nobody checks if the plan still covers their doctor next year, if their meds changed, or if they moved counties.
That's the gap SwitchBlue was built to fill. We're based on the Florida Panhandle and licensed in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, and North Carolina.
We work with multiple carriers across our service area, so we start with your doctors, your prescriptions, and your budget, then look at what's available where you live. Not the other way around.
And we don't disappear after enrollment. Every Annual Enrollment Period, we review our clients' coverage again, because plans change and people's needs change. We'd rather catch a problem in October than have someone find out the hard way at a doctor's office.
